*Dated September 1, 2021
* As more government announcements come in and as the situation progresses, we will be sending emails with updates.

As of today, September 1, 2021, l’Académie de Danse de Montréal is required to apply the vaccination passport for all its clients aged 13 years and older.

Here is some information that could make the process easier!

  • If you have not already done so, download the “VaxiCode” application and add the student’s proof of vaccination . This app is available in the Apple Store and Google Play. Alternatively, you can request to receive your code by mail
  • Proof of vaccination will be required for the first class only, however, be sure to have it with you at every class in case of verification by authorities. All students 13 years of age and older will be required to present their QR code and proof of photo identification. Students under the age of 12 may attend their dance classes under the same health measures as before. Children 12 years of age attending a 12-15 class will be required to provide photo identification indicating their age
  • Students who do not present the Vaccine Passport and photo ID as per Government regulations will not be granted access to the premises
  • Parents accompanying a child to and from class will not be required to provide proof of immunization. Only parents of children 8 years old and under will be allowed to accompany their children to and from class
  • Other sanitary measures remain in effect, both in the common areas and in the studio. We ask that you respect these measures and especially that you notify us of any symptoms or contacts related to the COVID-19 virus
    • Please arrive 10 minutes before class and wait outside 6 feet to the right of the front door until we let you in (a staff member will be there to guide you)
    • Masks must be worn at all times for ages 9 and up (8 and under recommended)
    • Hand sanitizing upon arrival – there are sanitizing areas throughout the facility
    • Follow the arrows on the floor as you move through the facility
    • 2 meter squares have been marked in all studios. Dancers must dance within their 2-meter squares
    • Viewing areas are closed. Parents are not allowed to watch classes – only students who are dancing are permitted on the premises
    • Bring filled water bottles (can’t fill at the taps) or buy from our water machine

We are here to answer your questions and know that as a member of Reseau d’enseigement de la Danse we are always informed of the most up-to-date measures.

Our staff looks forward to seeing you and will make sure that all rules are followed so that we can have a great dance session!

Our studio follows the current health regulations and requires the vaccination passport, but we have a great respect for personal choices and that is why we have chosen to offer hybrid classes for students aged 6 and up who wish to live the virtual experience (classes at home).

Have a great start of the school year!
