Hybride 2024-2025 competition season
Hybride continues to make an impact on major stages, earning a spot as finalists in the Future Dance Competition Showcase and being invited to perform at the prestigious World of Dance Montreal Showcase.

Second place studio of the year at 5678 showtime Mont Tremblant
L’Académie de danse de Montreal proudly won second place studio of the year at 5678 Showtime competition in Mont-Tremblant, a testament to our dancers’ hard work,versatility, and consistent high-level performances. The studio’s dedication and artistry truly stood out, leaving a lasting impression.
Zénith
Many of our dancers performed as backup dancers for singer Naadei on the television show Zénith choreographed by Sam Chouinard.
Chanteurs Masqués
Several students from L’Académie de Danse de Montréal performed in the opening number of the popular television show Chanteurs Masqués choreographed by Julie Dombrowski and François Pruneau.
More than a cure – Harvest Brunch
L’Académie de Danse de Montréal provided the hostesses for the Harvest Brunch event in 2024 & 2025, including our dancers and teachers Sabrina Chabibi & Sophia Van Hoye. This event aims to actively support women fighting breast cancer.

Un itinéraire pour tous
Lil Afro Krew, The Deans, and The Ivy League performed for the “Un itinéraire pour tous” organization for Black History month.
More Than a Cure Foundation
Melanie Hattem, Studio Director of l’Académie de Danse de Montréal, organized the entertainment for the More Than a Cure Foundation in support of breast cancer awareness. The event featured performances by dancers Cindy Mateus, Yoherlandy Tejeiro Garcia, and Amélie Albert.
Taro Group
In partnership with the Taro Group, Paramount Pictures and Universal Pictures, we hosted dance classes themed around Mean Girls, IF, and Trolls, and provided themed merchandise. Additionally, our students received complimentary movie tickets!
24/7 – Boston
Our competition team Hybride attended the 24/7 dance convention in Boston and won the Stop the Clock and 11 O’clock number award, awarded to the routines that the judges feel are, overall, the most technical and entertaining.
Jump – Providence
Many of our dancers traveled to Providence for the Jump Dance Convention and brought home numerous scholarships.
Grand Prix
Melanie Hattem, studio director of l’Académie de Danse de Montréal, organized the large-scale event at the Ritz Carlton Hotel to celebrate hosting the Grand Prix in Montreal two years in a row (2022 & 2023).
Montreal’s International Jazz Festival
Our team ‘Lil’ Afro Krew’ and other studio members had the opportunity to be perform at Uplift514’s Block Party for Montreal’s International Jazz Festival 2023
Myra’s Kids Foundation
Competition team Freedom performed at an event benefitting Myra’s Kids Foundation, an organization whose mission is to provide bereavement support and services to children.
Lil Afro Krew tour for Black History Month
Lil Afro Krew toured across different high schools to celebrate Black History Month.
Through high-energy performances and meaningful engagement with students, they helped inspire pride, unity, and cultural awareness in every space they visited.
Community Cafeteria Multicaf
Our elves (team Hybride) had a great time helping Santa Claus distribute gifts to
deserving children and families with the help of Community Cafeteria Multicaf, whose mission is to provide food aid and resources to low-income individuals.
Les Sorties de Marie-Christine
Our teachers Kayla Scavone and Stefania Tangredi hosted a dance class for special guest Marie-Christine Ricignuolo, a television personality who is visually impaired, and her son for the AMI-télé television series ‘Des Familles Comme les Autres’.
Showcase ‘Vision’
Competition team Hybride performed at the Vision Dance Camp showcase in 2023 & 2024.
Community Day at John Caboto Academy
John Caboto Academy hosted a “community day” to support local businesses. Coach Klassy of l’Académie de Danse de Montréal taught dance classes during the event, and competition team The Academics performed for the students.
Laurence Nerbonne & Sarahmée
Dancers from our competitive and Dance Concentration programs had the opportunity to dance on stage with singer Laurence Nerbonne in 2023 and Sarahmée in 2024 for special performances for The Beat dance competition. Choreography by Marie-Josée Corriveau and AP Nguyen.
