Inclusive Dance Program for Youth with Disabilities

Move differently. Dance together.

There’s no one way to dance, and no one way to be.

*Please note: Lazylegz is not the instructor of this class. He serves as a mentor and inspiration behind the program.

Our ADAP-TA-DANSE class will be offered at a 30% discount for all students, thanks to the support of No Excuses No Limits Movement and Canadian Jumpstart!

Adap-ta-Danse is an inclusive dance program designed for youth aged 12 to 18 living with physical or intellectual disabilities.

Open, welcoming, and dynamic, this program is for dancers who are autonomous, motivated, and able to follow group instructions.

Inspired by dancer and accessibility mentor Lazylegz, the class offers a supportive and creative environment where each student can explore movement at their own pace, within a real dance studio setting.

What to Expect: A Lively Studio and a Welcoming Community

Two instructors trained by Lazylegz are present in every class to guide and support the group.
You can expect:

● A welcoming and inclusive atmosphere
● A dynamic and engaging class environment
● Fun and energetic music
● Creative freedom and artistic exploration
● A safe, structured space for movement and social connection
● Accessible studio spaces**

**Although the studio is deemed accessible, there may be certain needs for individuals that require additional attention.
Please reach out to discuss any specific concerns.

In Adap-ta-Danse, we encourage every dancer to transform their difference into movement, expression, and confidence.

Take Note

● Music may be loud at times
● There is regular traffic in the studio due to transitions between classes and an active atmosphere
● This is not a therapeutic program, but it offers artistic, social, and physical benefits
● Participants must be able to follow instructions and move independently
● We do not provide one-on-one support (shadow)
● If your child needs help going to the bathroom, a parent or caregiver must remain on-site during class
● Please let us know in advance if support is needed and who will be staying

Our Commitment

At L’Académie de Danse de Montréal, we believe in the power of dance as a tool for expression, inclusion, and community. The Adap-ta-Danse program reflects our commitment to creating accessible spaces where all youth can grow artistically, socially, and personally. We are proud to offer a space where every dancer can thrive, just as they are.
